The actor expressed deep sadness about hearing reports of the vicious attack that occurred in Pahalgam. All our thoughts and prayers go to the damaged lives of those affected by this terrifying incident and we send our family members healing power to face this strenuous moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His public statement emerges one day following the incident which intensified demands to avoid watching his upcoming film Abir Gulaal directed by Aarti S. Bagdi. The romantic comedy movie will premiere on May 9 in London. The director planned his return to film production in Bollywood after nine years of absence through his upcoming release despite Pakistani artists being banned from the Indian film industry since 2016 Uri terror attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, a ruling by the Bombay High Court dismissed efforts to impose an official ban.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kapoor echoed Khan\u2019s sentiments on her Instagram story and wrote, \u201cHave been numb, at a loss of words since the time I have seen the attack on innocent people in Pahalgam. Gutted. Devastated. My prayers are with the families.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The terror attack at Pahalgam on April 22 (2025) increased demands to prohibit Abir Gulaal as FWICE reissued its mandate to end Indian collaboration with Pakistani performers and technical workers in the film and entertainment field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FWICE has reissued a comprehensive boycott order against Pakistani artists and technicians who work on Indian films and entertainments. This includes performances or collaborations occurring anywhere in the world,\u201d the FWICE said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe would like to emphasise that any member of our organisation or it\u2019s affiliate associations, such as the actors, directors, other technicians and producers or the production houses found cooperating with Pakistani personnel, will be subject to disciplinary action. We will take all essential actions to prevent \u2018Abir Gulaal\u2019 from getting released in India according to this statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The actor Khan continued his international work by starring in Ms. Marvel (2022) and The Legend of Maula Jatt (2022) which became Pakistan&#8217;s top-grossing release despite his earlier work in Khoobsurat (2014) and Kapoor &amp; Sons (2016).
